Introduction
Mr Vaughn is an innovative and experienced creative professional committed to improving graphic design processes and delivering quality work that creates value for the company. He's skilled at translating a client’s marketing strategy into effective visuals. He's passionate about inspiring professional teams and mentoring designers. He loves to direct creative but also loves to design as well. He's experienced in developing and executing branding and design solutions that positively affect business goals. He has a history of effectively partnering with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful marketing across multiple platforms.
Currently, he is the Senior Designer at Levolor, a division of the world's leader in window designs -Hunter Douglas. In this role he's responsible for the design and execution of sales collateral, packaging, digital ads, landing pages, mobile ads, and point of purchase displays. He also manages the production of the work with print partners around the world. Prior to Levolor, he was in charge of packaging and production at Spanx, a worldwide leader in women's shapewear and active clothing. He managed the day to day design and production of wraps, tags, envelopes, cartons and promotional materials for the garments.
For a majority of Mr. Vaughn's career, he was a major creative influence at WestRock, a Fortune 200, global packaging and paper company. For 15 years, he held the role of Assistant Creative Director, Food and Beverage Americas in Consumer Packaging. When he joined WestRock (formerly RockTenn), Mr. Vaughn was hired as a Senior Designer, then promoted to Assistant Creative Director five years later. During his tenure at WestRock, he developed packaging and managed print production for dozens of national consumer products. He maintained accountability for numerous front-facing and employee-centric design projects and strengthened professional correspondence. He created trade show exhibits into attention-getting visuals. He modernized the layout design and editorial style for a 32-page, high-profile employee magazine with an audience of 30,000. He also developed innovative themes for company fundraising campaigns and designed its large format graphics.
He is also the founder and president of his own fine art studio -Five72Studio where he creates works of collage photography. He has sold his art in galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and at many local Atlanta art festivals.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Over his career, he has amassed 36 awards for his work, including three from the Paperboard Packaging Council.
